One-Day Symposium

Following the successful 2010 Symposium held at the State Library of Western Australia, Perth, the Society for the Arts in Dementia Care (Australia) Inc., in co-operation with the Diploma of Business Administration Class of Central Institute of Technology are pleased to announce this years Symposium to be held in Technology Park, Bentley on 17th June 2011.

This years Symposium theme is “Creativity in Dementia: Local and Global Perspectives”, and the following topics will be discussed:

Research in music in dementia by Professor Jane Davidson (UWA)
Using drama to teach the community about dementia in Japan by Maree MacLachlan
Movie making with people with advanced dementia by Jeni Winslow
Innovative art therapy projects by Jackie Lewis
And other related topics
